January 2016 Faves & February 2016 Goals

It’s that time again, folks!  The first part of the month around here that means checking in on how we’re doing on our monthly goals and setting some new ones for the month ahead.

You might be asking why I share these every month for all the world to see?  For starters it helps to keep me accountable!  But, for some reason, you guys seem to like taking a peek at what’s going on in my world, so I’m happy to oblige :).

As 2016 kicked off this month, I have to say...it's off to a GREAT start!  I was very productive and ended up getting more done than what I had set goals for, so not only did I complete everything I outlined last month for January, I went above and beyond (which isn't typical for me)!  Add on that I was out of town on vacation for a week and I'm rather surprised at how much I accomplished!

And you know what....it feels SO good!  I think being super busy has helped me stay on top of things (that, and being accountable to my life coach!).  I definitely want to keep the momentum going as we slide into February.

So, with that in mind, let's dive into what happened last month and what's to come for this month!


Here’s what you were loving

One thing I set out to do this month was to post three times every week for a total of 12 posts.  I only missed two days due to my trip, but I was okay with that...I got more posts published than I thought I would!  So, that means we have lots of content from last month for evaluating what you guys liked the best!

HOw I did on my January goals

As I mentioned at the top of the post...January was a highly productive and awesome month for me.  Here's to keeping that train chugging along throughout all of 2016!!  Let's take a look at how I did on my goals that I established at the beginning of January...

Health & Wellness |  Complete a 30 Day Yoga Challenge {SUCCESS}
I knew this one would be a challenge, given my travel schedule, work schedule, and coaching schedule this month.  I knew I would have some days that I wouldn’t be able to roll out my mat, but I’m happy to say I have been sticking with it!  

I’m a tad behind on the 30 consecutive days from the 30 day yoga camp, but I’m chipping away at them and getting in about 4-5 sessions a week, so I’m not too far behind.  I am LOVING it!  It feels good to be back in the groove and I do feel a greater sense of peace, despite my crazy schedule this month!

House & Home | Declutter Phase 2 {SUCCESS}
My goal for this task was to go back through my recently decluttered home and do a round two.  This didn’t happen, BUT I still got a LOT done on this objective!  

I had a couple of closets that still needed to get cleaned out, so I took care of that.  I also got rid of a desk in my living room that I’d been wanting to get rid of for TWO YEARS!  And, I completely re-organized and prettied up my spare closet in my bedroom.  

I still have a two more closets that need to be cleaned out and I’ve already ordered a new shelving system to install in one of them to get it organized.  So, I may not have followed this goal as I outlined last month, but I definitely continued chipping away and feel I was successful with this one!

Heart & Moxie | Make my goals for 2016 {SUCCESS}
DONE!  Last month I mentioned that I had spent a good chunk of December on my personal goals, but didn’t have a chance to dive into my goals for the blog and future business.  

Well…I used time on my flight to and from LA wisely and brainstormed on ideas for my blog and for my Moxie Girls tribe (soooo many fun things coming this year for my tribe girls!!).  

For the blog, I have some new series in mind, new features, and a few other fun things that I can’t quite let out of the bag just yet :).


My Plans for February

Since I'm feeling super productive and full of energy, I've loaded up my plate for February.  That probably means I won't get all of this done, but when I pile it on this high, I expect it and cut myself a mental break.  As long as I'm pushing myself and not vegging on the couch watching TV, I'm okay if a few things don't quite get across the finish line.  

So, with all of that in mind, here are the main goals I have on my plate to accomplish this month...

House & Home | More Organizing/Decluttering
Right now, I'm feeling really motivated since I'm seeing progress around my house, so I plan to keep the momentum going!  

I want to clear out and organize my final two closets that I haven't gotten to, yet.  As I mentioned above, I've already ordered some shelving for one of them, so this will definitely happen because I'm quite excited to get it finished!  

I also plan to do some redecorating in my living room, which I am also excited about!  Part of that project will be adding in some additional storage, so I will get some more organization taken care of (although my living room is pretty organized right now, so this will be just adding in a little extra!).

Heart & Moxie | Launch some new Moxie Girl Features
I have several new ideas for my tribe members and I want to try to get one or two of them launched this month!  Curious as to what they are?  Join the tribe AND the Facebook group to find out more details!

Heart & Moxie | Launch my FREE Define Your Mission Course
This one has been in the works for awhile, but I'm almost done and ready to go!  The goal of this FREE e-course is to help you craft your very own personal mission statement for your life!

Heart & Moxie Coaching | Get Started!     
This month, I head back up to Boston for the second training weekend for my certification.  In the meantime, I'm starting to take on a few complimentary clients to get some experience and to help out some of my fellow tribe members (I will only open up the opportunity for FREE coaching sessions to my tribe members, so that's another great reason to get in on the action and join my tribe!)!  

I also want to put a few business things in place and start the search for an accountant.  Finally, I want to book a photographer (or at least narrow down my choices) for a spring session to get professional photos done for my website!  

Fun & Relaxation |  Remember to have some!
I have a LOT on my list to try to get done this month, so I need to make a conscious effort to not forget to take some down time for myself.  A few things I have on my list...read a good fiction book, keep up with my yoga practice, hang out with some friends, and find a little time to just do nothing but whatever I feel like in that moment.
