February 2016 Faves & March 2016 Plans

It’s that time again, folks!  Normally, I share this a little earlier in the first part of the month, but I took a little blogging break, so that means we're sharing goals a tad late. 

Even though it's a bit later than usual, it doesn't mean we can't check in on how we’re doing on our monthly goals and setting some new ones for this month!

You might be asking why I share these every month for all the world to see?  For starters it helps to keep me accountable!  But, for some reason, you guys seem to like taking a peek at what’s going on in my world, so I’m happy to oblige :).

2016 has been a very productive year, so far.  I blame it on all the coaching I’ve had!  As part of the year long mastermind program I’m in this year, I have one on one sessions with my coach, plus group meetings with the rest of the ladies.  I also have weekly coaching sessions with my peer coach as part of my coaching training via iPEC, so I am constantly talking about what I want to accomplish, what’s getting in my way, and how can I get past that and do what I want to do!

I feel like I’ve accomplished more in these past two months, than I normally do in six months!  That’s exciting and awesome, but it’s also a little tiring, lol.  

For February, I felt like I was just trying to keep my head above water for most of the month.  I succeeded, but by the end of the month, I needed a break, which is why I took a week off from blogging.  I needed time for my overactive mind to take a little rest (and binge on some House of Cards)!

So, with that in mind, let's dive into what happened last month and what's to come for this month!

How'd I Do on my February Goals?

House & Home | More Organizing/Decluttering {SUCCESS}
Despite February being a very busy month, I made this one happen! I finished organizing and cleaning out two closets and my laundry room!

For the closets, that meant pulling everything out, sorting through it, tossing a lot of junk in the trash, donating the useful items I no longer needed, and installing new shelving and storage systems. My home has a fair amount of closet space, which I’m grateful for, but terrible organization systems. I’ve suffered with that for 9 years, so as I clear out and declutter, I’m on a mission to put a good system in place to keep it neat and organized! For these two closets…done and done!

My laundry room was a bonus win! I hadn’t planned on attacking it in February, but two drawer units that I removed from one of my closets were perfect for the laundry room! So, I cleaned that out, organized everything and it looks SO much better!
Heart & Moxie | Launch Some New Moxie Girl Features {SUCCESS}
Last month, I mentioned I have several new ideas for my Moxie Girls tribe! I didn’t get everything launched, but I didn’t necessarily intend to do that at this point.

Several of the ideas need some more think-through and brainstorming, but I did launch an Accountability Partners program and a book list for sharing good reads (both of these are for the tribe members that are also in the Facebook group!). Heart & Moxie | Launch my FREE Define Your Mission Course {FAIL}
This one has been a constant challenge! The good news…I have the eCourse DONE! Everything is finished, I just need to get it into a system that will email the lessons when people sign up! Sounds easy, right? Well, that’s what I thought!

I’m pretty sure I want to use a different email system than what I’m currently using, but the new system I'm interested in doesn’t allow me to collect one piece of info that I need. They’ve told me they’re working on it and it’ll be available this month, so I’m {im}patiently waiting for it before I can proceed with releasing this course. Sigh...
Heart & Moxie Coaching | Get Started! {SUCCESS}
This month, I began working with five clients! They are all amazing women and I’m loving having the opportunity to work with them and get to know them. I’m so grateful they’ve each taken the chance by working with me and letting me into their lives. With each conversation I have with them, I know more and more that this is the right path for me!
Fun & Relaxation | Remember to Have Some! {SUCCESS}
Yep…I made this happen! It was sometimes hard to pull myself away from everything on my too long to-do list, but I think it helped me keep my sanity this month! I enjoyed dinner out with friends, I spent some Saturday afternoons coloring my adult coloring books, I attended my first every Reiki session (loved it!), and attended a class on Essential Oils 101. I definitely need to make this a part of my daily life going forward…working 24/7 isn’t a good recipe for anyone!

My Plans for March

After going full speed the past two months, March is going to be about slowing down a little bit.  I can’t quite throw the brakes on and slow all the way down.  I have too many balls in the air!  But, I’m having to think strategically about what I can realistically get done. 

With that in mind, I’ve decided to cut my blog posting down from three days a week to two days a week.  

As I go through the process of establishing and launching my coaching business later this year, I’m no longer strictly a ‘blogger’.  It’s a hat I’ve worn for several years, but going forward, while I will definitely continue to blog, my blog isn’t and shouldn’t be my top focus.  

My coaching business will need to take top billing for my time and energy.  My blog will still be a big part of it, but in a supporting role as opposed to a starring role.  Dropping to twice a week will give me a tad more breathing room to explore a few more of my ideas for my Moxie Girl tribe, work on my business ideas and getting things moving there, and allow me to have a little time to just relax.

So…what are my goals for March?

House & Home | More Decluttering
Yep…I’m on a mission and I’m making SO much progress!  Most of the main spaces in my home, including closets are done.  I’ve gone through them and gotten rid of the excess stuff and organized it to within an inch of it’s life!  

The main thing I have left is another pass at my spare bedroom.  My spare bedroom is the catch-all room.  Think the junk drawer in your kitchen, but on steroids.  I did a good job cleaning out a lot of it last fall, but I knew it’d need a second go through and that’s my objective for this month.  I also want to clean out my pantry, which is off my kitchen, to wrap up all of the closets in my home!

Financial | Finish my Taxes
I’ve already gotten started on my taxes, which is a MAJOR win for me!  I generally wait until the last minute and ~April 10, I’m cursing myself for doing that yet again.

With that said, I keep all my papers organized and my taxes aren't crazy, they're pretty straightforward.  It’s just a matter of taking the time to do it (because who, besides accountants, actually enjoys doing their taxes??).  This year…I want it done and filed by the time I flip the calendar to April!

Heart & Moxie | Launch the DreamChaser of the Month program
One of my ideas for my Moxie Girls tribe is to feature a lovely lady from my tribe each month that is going out and making her dreams happen.  I need to finish working out the details on this one, so there is a chance it might not get launched by the end of this month, but at the very least, I hope to have a lot of the ideas worked out so it can happen in April.  Stay tuned for more info!

Heart & Moxie | Launch the eCourse
As I mentioned above…the eCourse is DONE!  Assuming the mail service I want to use gets that last piece added this month, I should have no problems getting this one out the door.  If they don’t…I might have to explore other options.  I’m really hoping to report back next month that this one is finally complete!

Health & Fitness | Get back into my yoga routine
With the craziness of last month, something had to fall off my schedule and it was my daily yoga practice.  I was doing so good in January and I really didn’t want to let this go so soon, but there’s only so many hours in the day!  

With that said, I don’t want to let it go that easily and by taking on school and launching a business on top of working full time, being busy is going to be my new norm.  So…I need to figure out ways to still sneak this into my life.  I doubt it’ll happen daily and that’s just my norm for now, but there’s no reason that I shouldn’t be able to get a few sessions in per week!  And with the weather starting to warm up, I’m hoping to also sneak in a few walks during my lunch at work!
